22 Bible Verses To Protect Your Business in 2022 and Beyond

Doing business is not easy. Entrepreneurs face numerous obstacles on their journey to success. If you are launching a business, or if you are leading in a business that you established a while ago, put God at the center of it and you will not have to worry about the headaches of entrepreneurship.
God loves the Marketplace. If you don’t believe me, consider who Jesus called to be His disciples. He didn’t go into the synagogues to find experienced teachers of The Word to fulfill His mission. He recruited fishermen, merchants, people in services, a tax collector, and often stepped into the marketplace to deliver his message.
So if you are a Christian businessman or businesswoman, know that God wants you to succeed. Believe that if you put God first, He will protect you in your endeavors. If you do all that you do for the Glory of God, He will make your goals His goals.
Below you will find some scriptures that have helped me stay focused in my businesses. I hope they bring you some focus, comfort, courage, protection and guidance in yours as well.
Psalm 32:7
‘You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah’
If you submit to God as your protector, you will be protected. I pray a hedge of protection over my wife, my children, my family, my friends, my business, my church, my fellow Christians, my street, my city, my state, my country, my projects, my health, my life, my everything. I believe that if I ask God to preserve me from trouble, He will make me invisible to the attacks of the enemy. God does not let the enemy see any weaknesses in my business.
Hebrews 13:6
‘So we may boldly say: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”’
I do not fear men. I know that My God is my protector, and that with God the Holy Spirit guiding me and helping me make the right decisions, I will not be harmed. I believe that God not only helps me make the right decisions, but He also helps those who genuinely care for me to find ways to help me in my journey. With God’s help, I will never have to fear the attacks of any man. The Lord is GC Rosario Group’s helper. What can anyone do to harm us?
Isaiah 46:4
‘Even to your old age, I am He, And even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; Even I will carry, and will deliver you.’
God made me. He created me out of love. God will carry me even when I’m an old, fragile man. God created me with a calling, an assignment, an anointing and a purpose. He didn’t put me in this position to abandon me. He will not forsake me. God has always been, is now, and will always be with me to carry me through life and deliver me from the enemy’s plans. I plan on being in business and in ministry for the rest of my life. I believe it is my calling. I also believe that as long as I keep God at the center of it, I cannot fail.
Psalm 3:3
‘But You, O Lord , are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head.’
God shields me from all attacks. God lifts my head even when others try to push me down. God raises me above my enemy, and makes me the head and not the tail. Attacks from any direction cannot penetrate the shield of protection that God has put upon me. My business, my ministry, my home, my family and my relationships will be protected by God’s powerful shield.
Proverbs 18:10
‘The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe.’
I rebuke all attacks from the enemy in the Lord’s name. See, evil hears the Lord’s name and trembles. The devil and his fallen angels already lost the battle. Jesus already defeated evil for me. When I feel lost or overwhelmed, when I feel like I’m under attack, when I feel like evil people and evil spirits are trying to stop me from fulfilling Our Father’s assignment for me, I call on My Lord’s name and rebuke the attacks. My wife and I pray over our business daily, and we always ask for protection in Jesus’ name. We run to Him for protection daily.
Psalm 16:8
‘I have set the Lord always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.’
People will try to take me off course. They will try to knock me off the horse. They will try to sink my ship. They will set every roadblock and trap before me. But I am protected because my God is with me, and He is ahead of me, clearing a path so that no one can push me off my journey. My Lord goes before me, so nothing or no one will be able to stop me. Pray this over your business before you make any decisions.
Psalm 46:1
‘God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.’
Trouble will come. If the events of the past few years are not a clear indication of this, I don’t know what is. Fortunately for the believers, we are protected by God, and we are made strong through God. Therefore any trouble we encounter will be met with God’s unmatched strength, and the faithful will overcome. God is with me in the good times and the hard times. No trouble, no problem, no issue is bigger than my God. Even if your business runs into trouble, trust that God will be there to help you.
Deuteronomy 31:6
‘Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”’
I have faced some tough times in my life. God’s kept me strong and full of courage in the face of all these difficult times. God never leaves me unprotected or alone in the face of adversity. Believe He is with you and face up to your fears. Live a courageous life. You are not alone. Trust that God will walk with you whenever you are stepping into something new in your business. He will never leave you alone.
Isaiah 54:17
‘No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord , And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord .’
God does not lie. Therefore, if He says that no weapon (attack) against me will prosper, then what do I have to fear. Any demon I rebuke in the name of The Lord will fall to the side powerless. Any attack I condemn will not have power over me. I serve a good Father in Heaven. He does not lie. He does not break His promises to me. No weapon will harm me. People who want to harm your business will find themselves powerless against God’s hand.
Psalm 16:1
‘Preserve me, O God, for in You I put my trust.’
I trust God. I do not rely on my own abilities. It is God who gives me strength to face difficulties. It is God who preserves me even when I feel like I’m falling apart. I trust Our Father in Heaven and I wholeheartedly believe He is protecting me from any ill wishes and attacks from hate-driven people. Trust that God’s placed a hedge of protection over your business to preserve you against any attack.
Psalm 118:6
‘The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?’
God is always on my side. I am never alone. So when any man tries to hurt me, God steps in to protect me. I am not afraid of evil people, evil spirits, or satan himself. He is so small compared to my God that I refuse to capitalize the names satan or devil when I write it down. He is powerless. He doesn’t even deserve that much respect from any believer. Guess what? If you are in business, and you are conducting your business in accordance to God’s commandments, the enemy will attack. Guess what? He will fail!
Psalm 119:114
‘You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in Your word.’
The Word! The Holy Bible. God’s promises to His loyal servants. My Bible is my sword, and it is my shield. God’s Word is my ammunition against the attacks of the enemy. I’ve walked through mental and spiritual battles unharmed because while the enemy threw insults at me, I fought back with God’s Holy Word. I’ve operated numerous businesses in my life. I never put my hope on me, my people, government, the economy, the industry, the clients, or any other human entity. I put my hope in God and trusted in Him first.
Philippians 4:13
‘I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.’
If we go back and read the verses before this one, we see that this is talking about being with Jesus and trusting Jesus through good times and bad times, regardless of what situation we find ourselves in. No matter how difficult a situation may be, and trust me I’ve had my share of them, I know that I can do all things, even walk though life’s stormy seasons, with Jesus Christ’s strength in me. When your business runs into tough times, you can still keep moving forward because Jesus will be your strength to carry on.
Romans 8:31
‘What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?’
If I hold onto the word, hold the line, don’t give the enemy an inch, and trust that God will get me through all things, who can stop me. I believe God has placed a real anointing over our GC Rosario Group company. From the day we launched, people have tried to attack us. I’ve been told that there’s no way a Bible Based Business Consulting Firm will ever make it in the shark infested waters of the consulting world. I say, when the sharks are swimming around in the water trying to devour anything and everything they can, Jesus will hold my hand and make me walk on the water with Him. Let the sharks come. GC Rosario Group is protected by the creator of the universe. I am trusting my business in God’s hands. Who can be against us?
Psalm 118:8
‘It is better to trust in the Lord Than to put confidence in man.’
I’ve been betrayed by so many people that it is almost impossible to trust anyone. I’ve been betrayed by people whom I would have given my life for. There is only ONE who will never even be tempted to betray me, and that is God. I do not put my trust in man. Men are flawed and will often fall because of moments of weakness. I put myself in this group. I don’t trust in my own understanding. I trust in God the Holy Spirit to guide my every step. I know I am not capable of doing anything worth while without God’s hand upon me.
Psalm 34:22
‘The Lord redeems the soul of His servants, And none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned.’
I make mistakes. We all do. I come up short from time to time. I’ve fallen more times than I would care to talk about. Fortunately for me, and for all believers, we are redeemed by Jesus. My mistakes and my falls are washed away by the sacrifice of Jesus’ Holy Blood. I am washed clean daily. I repent daily. So when I make a mistake in my life, whether in my personal or professional life (which for a believer, there is no difference), I don’t let the criticism of others affect me. People will be quick to point out your mistakes. God washes your slate clean daily, if you humble yourself and ask for forgiveness. Don’t let people’s verbal attacks stop you from moving forward in life.
2 Timothy 4:18
‘And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen!’
God will deliver me from all evil. Any attack from the enemy is powerless and ineffective to those who believe. God will not let me fall as long as I keep my focus on Him and give all glory and praise to Him. I do not praise myself or walk in pride in myself. I can’t be bound in a world that I don’t belong to. I am a citizen of God’s Heavenly Kingdom, and as such I have to keep my eyes focused on My Father. Believe that God will not allow any evil work enter your business. Always invite God to be at the center of everything you do.
Psalm 62:2
‘He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved.’
God is my rock, my solid ground to stand on. God is my salvation. He saves me from all attacks, all adversaries, all ill-wishers, all enemies. When I am in trouble, I come to God and He steps in to defend me. God will protect me from anything and everything that is thrown at me. Nothing is going to move me from my walk with God. I will step into the assignment that God has set for me. I will not fail because my God is protecting my steps. Build your business on a firm foundation; on God as your rock.
Proverbs 2:8
‘He guards the paths of justice, And preserves the way of His saints.’
God is the God of justice. God loves His people, lifts us up as saints and clears the road for us to travel. God fill in the potholes, levels out the speed bumps, keeps me steady on slippery slopes and keeps me from all danger. Will we face problems along the way? Of course we will. We live in a world that is occupied by imperfect beings. But no matter what the enemy tries to put on my path, my God will remove it and keep my travels safe through it. Your business will have to move forward and grow. Believe that God will clear those paths for you.
Proverbs 2:7
‘He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly;’
Keep your business honest. Walk upright. Do not cut corners when it comes to doing the right thing. Make sure you remember that a true believer in Jesus does the right thing even when others aren’t watching, because we know Our Father in Heaven is always watching. Don’t let temptation make you do the wrong thing. Ask God for His wisdom in all things. Before you make any decision, bring it to The Word of God and if it doesn’t align with God’s Holy Bible, don’t do it. If you do this one thing in your business, your prosperity, success, and growth will be protected. Do the right thing.
Ephesians 6:13
‘Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.’
I read Ephesians 6:10–18 almost every day. I’ve noticed that the days I don’t read it are usually met with unforeseen adversities and struggles. Putting on the Full Armor of God daily is an excellent way to guard your mind, body and spirit from the attacks of those who want to hurt you. There are many studies of this scripture available. I believe every true entrepreneur should read this over himself and his entire team to keep his people and his company protected.
Nahum 1:7
‘The Lord is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble; And He knows those who trust in Him.’
God knows if you are putting your trust in yourself, in men, or in Him. If you trust Him first, even when things seem impossible, you will succeed. You may even see that God closes some doors (I’ve had a couple of businesses that failed in my early days). This does not mean that God has turned His back on you and your business. If you trust Him first, He may just close one door to open up a better, more righteous, more prosperous door for you.
I hope these scriptures have helped you feel better and more confident in doing business. As long as you put God first in all that you do, you will live a good and prosperous life. In the Lord’s Prayer, we ask God to give us our daily bread. Trust that even if you face tough times, as long as you trust Our Father first, you will never have to go without what you need.
